Opening May 1, 2026, Moments That Made Us, a print-on-demand exhibit developed by History Colorado, marks the nation’s 250th anniversary. The exhibit explores the ideals behind the Declaration of Independence through key moments in American history, while our locally adapted version brings those stories closer to home—connecting them to the people, places, and experiences that have shaped our community and inviting visitors to reflect on how the past continues to influence who we are today.
Yesterday's Stories
Step into the past with Yesterday’s Stories, a special radio and storytelling project created in partnership with KSJD. Drawn from the museum’s archives, these historical accounts are brought to life in the voices of local residents—sharing the people, places, and moments that shaped our region.
New stories air weekly on Tuesdays at 8:51 AM on KSJD, beginning May 5, 2026, and continuing through October as part of Colorado’s 150th anniversary celebration.
Tune in on KSJD at 90.5 FM (across the Four Corners area), 91.5 FM (southwest Colorado), 91.1 FM (Mancos Valley), or 89.5 FM (Rico).
